American History: African American Scientists

American History Makers who are Black Scientists is a presentation for students of all ages. The emphasis is on their important contributions to the world. The fact that they are African American should not be a consideration because their work is so important. However, many have not been given the recognition they deserve. We have included many little known scientists because of their important work. We present scientists from Yesterday-the past, Today-current history makers and for the Future; we list skills and a path needed for students to become scientists. The goal of education is to present role models with the ultimate message for youth to know they can achieve just as much or more.
