What educators are saying

This was a highly engaging activity for students to review and practice generating specific evidence. I didn't use the letter restriction idea, but the gamification of the argument FRQ in general was fun for my students. Thanks!
My students loved this activity! We used it to help review before the AP Lang exam. It really helped them review and have fun at the same time. Teacher win! I will definitely continue using this in my AP Lang classes.

Description

This lesson is an adaptation of the classic game Scattergories, intended to help students brainstorm evidence for the argument essay. I've used it on a traditional bell schedule, but it could easily be adapted for a 90-minute class. This file includes teacher instructions, game cards, and PowerPoint instructions, all saved as PDFs.
