Looking for 7th-grade Reading: Literature Common Core practice? Purchase my RL.7 bundle (all CIMs for RL.1-RL.9)!

What is a CIM? The acronym “CIM” stands for “Continuous Improvement Model.” It is one name for the research-based strategy that follows the “I do,” “we do,” “you do,” teaching model. In this resource, there are 3 lessons. Lesson 1 is a teacher-modeled lesson. Lesson 2 is a collaborative lesson where the teacher leads the class. The students complete lesson 3 independently. This resource is, in and of itself, a scaffolding tool. It is designed to help students master standards in a gradual manner.

NOTE: These lessons ARE appropriate for Florida's LAFS.7.RI.1.1, LAFS.7.RI.1.2, and LAFS.7.RI.1.3.

Included in this bundle are the CIMs for RI.7.1, RI.7.2, and RI.7.3.

The preview includes the preview for all 3 CIMs as well.

The lessons follow an "I do, "We do," "You do" model of instruction. Each lesson has at least 1 question for the given standard. The lessons contain a teacher script for the "I do" and "We do" lessons to help walk students through the cognitive process of determining the correct answer.

The questions can be used as multiple choice or short/extended response questions.

The texts used are all appropriate for 7th-grade students according to Lexile's Grade Bands.
