These music lesson plans are meant to serve as a general road map for your elementary music lesson planning. They give guidelines for when to teach certain musical concepts along with game and activity ideas. You can use these plans in conjunction with your own music lessons or stand alone. Most songs listed in the music lessons are from the Share the Music textbook series, Music K-8, or pop culture. If you don't have access to any of these resources, many of the songs are accessible through Amazon and iTunes. When possible, I have included links to free recordings of the songs on YouTube.

Materials Needed:

About 90% of the materials needed to teach the lessons are included in this product. There are; however, a few outside products that are mentioned in the lessons:

• One parachute big enough for your whole class. You can also use two parachutes and split each class up into two groups. I borrow mine from the P.E. teacher in my building, but you can also purchase various sizes on Amazon:

• Supplies for students to create their own instruments. Supplies include plastic shopping bags (1 per student), scissors (one per student), colored construction paper (1 sheet per student), masking tape, markers, rulers, and glue.
