I created this table to keep track of my Leveled Literacy Intervention (LLI) reading assessments (or running records - that come with your LLI kit) for the Blue LLI Kit. When I used LLI, I found it helpful to do reading assessments for every 10 lessons with my groups (the end of each level). You can keep track of the date the running record was given, the lesson number, the story title, and the story level. For each student, there is a place to record their accuracy and comprehension score. You

This is a plan book that you can use for either Excel or Google Sheets. I use this on Google Sheets because I can easily pull it up at home (it's online) so I can make changes if need be. I also enjoy Google Sheet's fonts better than Excel's choices. It's currently formatted with my schedule =P, all you have to do is change the times and subjects to match your own. To add a new week of plans, duplicate the original tab (on the bottom of the screen) and rename. Happy planning!

Domination is a game that has evolved slowly over the years in my classroom, but has become more and more of a fixture with each new iteration. I originally created it as a fun way to get students to practice using the slope formula, and it still is best used to practice repetitive skills or practice using formulas. I have Google Sheets available in my store that will calculate and check students' answers for Calculating Slope, Writing Linear Equations From Two Points, Solving Systems of Equatio

There are three sheets: y = mx+b ax^2 + bx +c =0 c = p(1-r)^t For instance, on the linear equation sheet, you can change m & b separately to see changes in the table and the graph. You can trace all equations. Much fun can be had.

Lesson and Curriculum Planning Objectives Bank for Teachers

Lesson plan objectives bankWhen I was learning to teach, I found lesson planning - and especially objectives setting - incredibly time consuming and difficult to do. This got easier as I progressed through my training, but I really wish that there had been a tool-kit or bank of objectives that I could fall back on when I simply did not have the bandwidth to re-invent the wheel! Alas, I never found one for my own training, but I was recently sent this and knew I had to send it out into the world

I learned many years ago that the most effective way of keeping math engaging for students is through SELECTIVE PROBLEM SOLVING. All kinds of problem solving...not just traditional "solve this equation" problems. I will offer teachers ideas for keeping kids excited about math. Such as...building a probability distribution of outcomes from throwing dice...constructing a pendulum that will draw Lissajous figures...constructing a Foucault pendulum...how to do interesting large-scale astronomical
