Suspense in "The Monkey's Paw" - Using Text Evidence
I use this writing outline as students are beginning develop literary analysis skills. After we read, "The Monkey's Paw", students use text evidence to show the literary elements that the author uses to create suspense in the story. Urban Legend Informative Speech
This a fun filler speech to be given in the month of October. I have used this speech in my high school speech (oral communications) course with students ranging from sophomores to seniors. Prior to this unit, students are introduced to basic speech structure and have given at least three speeches.
