Papercraft Sneakers
Students will design an original sneaker using templates provided in papercraft form, along with a matching box. I heavily suggest using cardstock for these in the copier - 8 1/2 x 11" I've provided links to templates to download as well as the Abstract episode featuring Tinker Hatfield (with one swear edited out) for teachers to present if they wish (runtime is 40 mins). As we are moving more towards using devices in each class, making the digital leap in the art room may be on your to do list. Students will review and analyze the concept of theme within their favorite Disney Pixar movies! Within the Google Slide presentation, there are 14 different Pixar movies represented. Balloon Dog Slide for Class Inspiration
This Balloon Dog lesson would be appropriate for a 3rd-7th grade art class. Adaptions can be made to make this easier or harder of a lesson.
