Polynomial Function Project - Roller Coaster
In this project, students learn how to use polynomial function to model roller coaster rides. In this first part, they are given some polynomial functions to find the relative maximum/minimum, increasing/decreasing intervals, x- and y-intercepts, etc. They will explore the average rate of change. In the second part of the project, students are asked design their own roller coaster given some basic criteria. Students should use graphing devices/computer applications to complete this project.

Functions Review Activity - Matching - Algebra 2
This item is a functions review activity to be used at the end of a functions unit in Algebra 2. Students look at graphs and try to match the different characteristics to each graph. Some graphs may look different but may have some of the same characteristics, which makes this activity challenging.
