Black History Month Artist Series
History in Me is pleased to present, this series on Black History Art lessons. These lessons are designed to explore African American creativity in art. Each lesson will feature an African American artist and include: artist biography, art samples from the artist, and questions to check for understanding.

Cold War Berlin: Musical Resistance Unit
The Cold War, especially the erection of the Berlin Wall, affected the music, fashion, and politics of Germany, as well as the United States. This Unit asks students an Essential Question: How did music help people resist what the Berlin Wall symbolized? The first activity gets students talking about why a country might build a wall and what effect it would have on its citizens.
