This gives students the opportunity to see what they looked like on stage and to evaluate their musical performance. This is a rubric I use with 3rd through 5th Grade. It includes categories for students to evaluate their singing (which I break down further to vowels, diction, cut-offs, and expression), movement, memorization, and stage presence. I have

It is important that students self assess their progress both in rehearsal and after performances. This rubric allows them to do both. I usually have them complete it (in pencil) after watching a video of a rehearsal a week or two before the concert date. Then we discuss it to prepare for the performance. After the concert, we watch that video and reassess (with highlighter). I then use it as a guide when I am assigning grades for the concert.
