Visual Class Participation Rubric

In my quest for a unique classroom behavior chart, I sought an alternative to the conventional options available online. My solution was to streamline it into four distinct categories, mindful of conserving paper while ensuring its efficacy as a visual aid for my students and a reliable tool for documenting classroom behavior.Incorporating simple yet effective visuals, this chart serves as a clear reference point for students, delineating acceptable and expected behavior with clarity and ease.

As students progress through each color level of karate ukulele they use this assessment to track their practice. I print a stack of these and place them next to a pencil box at 2-3 locations around the room. Students both self-assess and peer-assess for each level before coming to me to pass off a belt. This way they have practiced the song at least twice before coming to pass off a level. I often pass off students in groups to expedite the process. Good luck with ukulele karate assessments.

While working with a small group of struggling writers working on expository writing. I wanted something where I could quickly check off what I saw the student doing correctly. Then I want to have a spot to jot down one or two goals for them in each of the revising and editing categories. The last column was for a fun idea for the student to try in order to captivate their reader. They copied their goals onto sticky notes and then kept them with their compositions to reference when they went bac
