My Name is Yoon is a story about a young immigrant from Korea learning to like her new school in America. A rubric is included for student self assessment and teacher assessment. The activities in this Treasures unit include: Phonics - identifying short and long o words in the context of an original text. Students then sort long and short o words in a chart. Vocabulary - Students use the glossary in their Treasures text to look up words, then write definitions and a sentence into a foldable.
