I knew this year the students will be required to write a lot of QuickWrites. I wanted a rubric that was rigorous and clear for the students. I noticed the benefit of this rubric as I started grading the students I teach QuickWrites. I was able to immediately identify trends, and it helped take the murkiness out of grading. In an effort to make it easier to follow along with the rubric, I created a flowchart diagramming all three scored sections, assuming the task is argumentative in nature.
