Add Current Events into your daily routine. Set up a class calendar and assign a daily news reporter. Students use the planner and write or record a news video for the class. There is also a student self-evaluation rubric for grading. My class looks forward to the daily reports. We do ours right after the morning announcements. Takes 4-7 minutes to share and discuss. Activity can be adapted to suit any grade.
