Animal habitat project to go along with animal or life cycle research. This is great for an end of unit project. Students can use a shoe box to create a habitat for an animal. This is great since it can be an in-class project or a take home project. There is directions attached as well as a rubric to help students to know what is expected from them. Animal Habitat Diorama Project
This is an at-home activity used when we study animals and their habitats.
I have included the direction sheet and a rubric.
Students are to make a diorama and a short presentation in class.
I used this in 2nd grade, but you might be able to use this in 1st or 3rd grade as well.
My students love this kind of project because they have a choice about which habitat to create and because they love making dioramas.
