I wrote this little poem in honor of Carter, a young child who died in the midst of his Kindergarten year. It is intended to be an encouragement in the face of the unthinkable loss of a child. It is indeed simplistic. Recently I had a fellow-grandma friend who lost her grandson -- even prior to his entering Kindergarten and it prompted me to remember that I had written this long ago.
