I used it as a class read aloud (all my students got a copy) and these are the comprehension questions I used for it. They are simple, about 3 questions per chapter (and the chapters are short)I included an answer key!

I used excerpts from The Tale of Despereaux in hopes it will inspire scholars to read the entire story. The main focus of these excerpts is to focus on characterization and imagery. Scholars look at descriptive words and form a picture in their mind. This can be a whole group worksheet or independent depending on your scholars.This includes two different parts.
