Sea Shanty Worksheet and Listening Analysis of Wellerman
Here is a great lesson on Sea Shanty's including a singalong and listening guide with questions of the Wellerman. This could be extended to two 45 minute lessons. It has a youtube link to a great little 10 minute video on the history of Sea Shanty's. At the end of this lesson I play 'Ships Ahoy,' which is a drama game that is worth googling if you have classes Year 5-8. You could leave this lesson as a replacement if you are away.
