This is a 23 page Activinspire Flipchart that teaches your students what a persuasive essay is, the format, shows a step by step example, reviews the writing process, teaches how to incorporate evidence from mulltiple sources and site sources to strengthen the argument, and organize it all! This is a whole unit for teaching how to write argumentative/persuasive essay/opinion writing. This would work well for 4, 5, 6 grades. It includes a slide showing a rubric. This Flipchart series (Parts 1-3) were split up due to the large size of the original file. They cover a Life Skills curriculum for an entire academic year. The lessons focus on basic grammar, appropriate and inappropriate behaviors, goal setting, navigating social relationships, the development of self-advocacy strategies, measuring time, and reading comprehension. The C.L.O.V.E.R. system of teaching syllable awareness is used.
