Mandala means circle in Sanskrit. Circles are a powerful symbol found in many cultures and in our environment. We see them in halos, prayer wheels, and other religious symbols, architecture, and nature. Mandalas have been used for a long time to facilitate meditation as they help to center the body and mind. Coloring a mandala can be seen as a form of active meditation which can help children deal with their emotions as well as calm them from the constant stimulation of our modern world. By focu
