This is a 13-page step-by-step visual to guide children in drawing self portraits. It has been created using PowerPoint. The purpose of this file is to have students focus on adding as much detail as possible when drawing their self portraits. The first page of the file contains just a simple oval for the face. This resource was made in honor of Arab-American Heritage Month. It follows the pedagogy of CRT (Culturally Responsive Teaching). There are 24 wonderful read-alouds. This virtual library is not grade specific because all ages will enjoy this resource. I have included a link to a writing extension "My Book Review" which can be printed on standard 8.5 X 11 paper.
