The parent returns this sheet letting me know if they can or cannot bring in what was mentioned by their child. All About Me Time Capsule First Day and Last Day of School Activity
All About Me Time Capsule is the perfect way to begin and end the school year. On the first day of school, have your students complete the “Beginning of Year” column. I use this form with my students to help me decide on Superlatives for the end of the year. It is really fun and encouraging to give each kid an award for their effort during the school year. I've noticed that many times students will come up with more clever rewards than I could myself!

Real World Math: Road Trip Project
Students will have to choose a car to take on a road trip with their friends then complete a series of questions relating to their trip. My students have done this project for the last three years and really enjoy it each year! Modifications can be made from year to year as gas, cars, and other costs change with very little effort. Students can do with or without a calculator at the teachers discretion and/or student ability.

This is one page (word doc) of 30 logos and then a seperate page with an answer key of what those logos are. I usually display the 30 logos on my board and have the kids guess what company the logos belong to on a piece of paper. You can do teams or have it be timed. This is a short fun game or could be a bell ringer.
