Editable Morning Checklists
These morning checklists I have used for the last three years to help foster independence and keep my students on track upon arrival. I laminate and cut out the checklists, stick velcro dots on each circle, and place a circle tag sticker on another velcro dot so students can move their velcro dot as they complete their morning tasks.

Mindfulness Breathing Exercises
Breathing exercises are not only beneficial to adults, they are also useful in the classroom. Consider how you feel after you take a few deep breathes. You may feel calmer, more focused, and less anxious. Throughout the day it is important to teach children how to self regulate. Use these exercises during circle time, after outdoor enrichment, or when the class just needs to settle down and focus on a certain task.
