I loved this book by Kate DiCamillo and created 8 different activities that connect to the ATL (Approaches to Learning) in the category of Thinking skills. This can be used in a literature group, activity for a classroom or as work packet. Students will engage in:-note taking-character exploration-sequencing-reflecting on their own experience as a reader-summarizing-comprehension (QAR question-answer relationships)-creativity (making their own stories with the puppet cut outs)
