Pass the Pumpkin Song/Game with Orff Arrangement for Smart Boards
A student favorite for Halloween and the month of October! Using the traditional folk song and game, I created an Orff arrangement for when students get "out" of the game. This fun, fall themed whiteboard activity can be used for students to practice basic rhythm notation using quarter, double eighth, quarter rest and half notes. It can also be used as an assessment tool to assess student's understanding of basic rhythm notation.

Thumbs Up Thumbs Down Solfege Pattern Game: Level 3
In this SMART notebook file, the teacher will click on the link on each page, and a recorded solfege pattern played on the piano (in the key of D+) will sound. Students simply show you which pattern they hear by giving you a thumbs up or down! A nice, easy informal assessment to see quickly who "has it"!

Sleigh Ride Hand Jive visual support
This is a visual to support the learning of the "Sleigh Ride Hand Jive" shown in You Tube clips. It was used to help students with autism to learn the routine, but will help anyone learning to do the jive with the song. The routine works with any recording of the famous holiday song "Sleigh Ride" and is an excellent piece to include in your winter concert.
