How I Teach Trigonometry Ratios Part 2
This is a 50 page Smartboard lesson that builds on my part 1 lesson. The lesson starts by explaining the words Sine, Cosine, and Tangent. Next comes definitions and an explanation of how to find the side measurements. Next the lesson teaches how to find an angle. There are plenty of practice pages for both types and they include answers.

Triangles SmartBoard
A smartboard lesson that reviews angles and discusses the ways we classify triangles (by their sides and angles). It has built-in partner discussion and hints to aid discussion. It discusses acute, obtuse, right, scalene, isosceles, and equilateral triangles.
The last slide refers to a triangle sort (available on the VA Dept. of Education website) and a challenge worksheet (available for free at my store!)

Introduction to Basic Trigonometry Activities for the Smart Board
Students are much more successful with solving basic introductory trigonometry problems when they spend time learning opposite, adjacent, and hypotenuse and learning how to decide what trigonometric ratio to use when. This SMART Board notebook activity provides students the opportunity to practice this vocabulary. It also provides a 'pull tab' with answers. The activity ends with a little trigonometry comic relief.

Geometry Special Right Triangle Review
This review was created using smart notebook software. This is a review that covers Pythagorean theorem, 30-60-90 triangles, 45-45-90 triangles, trigonometric ratios, and angles of elevation/depression. My students use student response boards to work out the problems and show me their answers. This review is a great way for them and myself to see how ready they are for an assessment. Elizabeth Welch
