Sensory Evaluation Centers
Sensory evaluation centers are one of my students' favorite activities each year. This lesson takes 90 minutes MINIMUM, so be prepared to potentially have to reset centers for a second day. As I wrote in the teacher instructions, this activity can require about $50 in materials the first time you complete it but becomes much cheaper when repeated. A supply list is included.

ABC Fruit Cards
These cards are a great way to keep children interested in ABC's. They are a great tool for literacy and can even be used in conjunction with a science or cooking lesson. Each card includes the letter of the alphabet in upper case and lower case. It also includes the name of the item, animal or object as well as a picture of the item, animal or object. All you need to do is to cut them out and laminate and you are ready to go.

How to Make Rice Krispie Treats - Sort
Step by step directions for how to make rice krispie treats for special education students. Images can be cut out and glued to the paper or all items can be laminated and you can use velcro to reuse the materials. (I personally used the later in my classroom.)
