Representations of the Divine in Film (ERC Smartboard pres and activities)
I used this Smartboard presentation when teaching Representations of the Divine in secondary 2 Ethics and Religious Culture.
This presentation explores how the Divine is represented in film and includes some cooperative learning activities you can do as a class. Creative Writing Journal Topics
These colorful and thought-provoking Creative Writing journal prompts encourage all levels of students to write in ways both playful and serious. I used this SmartBoard presentation immediately after teaching the Holocaust with my ERC class (grade 10).
This lesson explores how hate is still prevalent in today's society. I've included my lesson plan, please see "product preview". This presentation discusses phobia and looks at how Islam is discriminated against- both in a direct and indirect fashion. Thinking time (loads of cognitive reasoning slides)
I created 'Thinking Time' last year and now all the classes in my school are using it. There are over 100 slides. This is a brilliant tool to have in the class room. It can be used as an exciting early morning work, a time filler on any given day or as a way of really getting the kids into a thinking state of mind.
