Head to Souh Africa to sing & play 'Siyahamba!" Sung in Zulu, the lyrics translate to "We are marching in the light of God" or "We are standing in the light of peace" for a secular setting. I have used this with my experienced upper elementary students and middle schoolers, though this would work for a choir as well as a general music class. In this download you will find:A map to identify South Africa within the African continentInformation about South Africa & this songLyrics & tr

"Don't Be Negative" is a 4 minute, karaoke style video, that students can sing along with. I wrote it as an introduction to the concept of integers. I use it with my 6th graders as a "springboard" to a discussion about integers and their applications. The song uses elevation to show negative and positive integers. It also covers what numbers make up the set of integers. It does not go into any of the integer operations. Thanks to my 6th grade students for their integer contributions at t
