My Planet-Galaxy Project
Students create their own planet, and additionally as part of this project, create names for their planet's galaxy, constellations, moons, etc. in order to demonstrate mastery of various space terms as outlined in the resource, and as I explain in the video. Forms of Water (the water cycle)
This video is intended to support learning about the water cycle, using the visual idea of a magical water drop to express the many ways that water can appear in nature. The film opens and closes with the ocean as the source and destination of the cycle, even if the flow is interrupted when water resides for vast amounts of time in caves, aquifers, or polar ice. Pirate Portfolio
Here are the directions to my Pirate Portfolio project which involves 6 different activities as creating a pirate shanty, a pirate bio, pirate map, a pirate ship, pirate nicknames, and even pirate rules. There is also a page with a complete grading sheet for all parts of each of the 6 activities. Needless to say, this is a really fun and engaging project.
