Just Say No Drug Rap
This rap teaches about saying no to drugs. It was used at Red Ribbon Week for an assembly. This is a rap with audience participation. You need to create a beat with it. There are only a few speaking parts, but it is short and fun for the participants. The child asks the questions, the teacher answers the questions and the punks try to get the child to take drugs. Elementary students can perform it or high school students can perform it for the younger grades.

Coniferous Tree RAFT
Are you looking for a way to get your students engaged in writing? A RAFT is an excellent tool to use to guide your students by helping them to focus on the role, audience, format and topic of a story. Attached is an example of a RAFT about a pinecone who falls out of a tree and can't get up. My students loved writing stories about this and can be extended by having them create their pinecone character out of a real pinecone!
