Many children have worries. To help children cope, adults can encourage young children to draw or print their worries and in turn externalize these challenging emotions. With the children and families that I work with, we like to draw our worries on "Worry Monsters." The worry monsters can then hold onto the worry so that the child does not have to. As fantastic as this law is, I have yet to find affordable and effective lesson plans on safe and unsafe touch. I try to provide you an outline here and some activities that you can modify for grades K-9th grade.
