Freebie! What Dissolves? Science Experiment for Kids
Here is a fun, easy science experiment that I use to introduce my little ones to the concepts of predicting and experimenting. I set up 10 different solids on a table in my classroom. How States of Matter Change Freebie!
This activity helps students see how water changes into each state. It requires some guidance as students likely cannot read the words for freezing, melting, evaporating and condensing. Following a lesson exploring how water changes from state to state, you can begin teaching about what each process is called. Freezing and melting are relatively simple, but condensing and evaporating will take a bit more time. This is also a great precursor and segue into the water cycle.
