Preamble to the Constitution - Smart-board matching

This is a simple matching activity for my 7th grade Civics class on the Preamble to the Constitution. I import PowerPoint files into my Promethean board software as an "object." I ask my students to complete the matching in their notes and then call on a student to come up and draw a line from the key term to the correct definition. Kids love drawing on a smart-board!. This is a good warm-up / bell ringer activity. (Note I teach Civics in Florida where they take the E.O.C. - End-of-Course exam

I saw a teacher on TikTok using the chorus as a call-and-response and I saw the possibilities of telling a story out of it before using it the same way as she did. I created the pictures on my phone and cannot wait to tell the story to my students tomorrow so that they can understand it before I play the song to them. The chorus has key vocabulary that our novices would be able to unde
