Students will evaluate functions at a numerical value and at an expression.
This activity finally solves the problems of students just copying off their neighbor when working in groups. Each member must work different problems and then compares answers to see if they "add up." They will be able to see if their answers are correct or if they need to go back and rethink their solutions. Students will work cooperatively and will learn from each other.
