The comprehension questions on one side list questions parents can ask to strengthen children's comprehension in the areas of: making connections, asking questions, visualizing, inferring, determining importance, and synthesizing. The other side lists tips and decoding prompts for parent to use when the child reads. To prepare: copy, fold in 1/2, and laminate (if you want).

The questions allow my students to engage with the magazine using skills we have learned in our reading curriculum for nonfiction texts.
