Text Dependent Questions: Little Rock Girl 1957 by Shelley Tougas
22 High Level Text-Dependent Questions. These questions ask students to perform at every cognitive level while providing scaffolds for all students to gain a contextual understanding of the text and the historical context. The focus skill of this set of questions is "Previewing," based on the Harvard (2017) article, "Interrogating Texts: 6 Reading Habits to Develop in Your First Year at Harvard." Each question supports this particular critical reading strategy.
