This a fun way of getting students to recognise some of the correct terminology associated with the elements of music. I was getting tired of simply using cards for the students to sort and wanted to get them on their feet and moving around the class as a change of pace to the lesson. Students wear the cards around their neck and have to find their peers with words that are associated. For example, "Pitch", "High" and "Low" would all group together. There are 26 cards in total.

This is a Practice Record/Card that I use with my Middle School band students. The best part about this card is that it will show you a running total of practice done over a number of weeks. I print this out on card stock usually in a bright color. There is room for students to put minutes practiced each day as well as Total, minutes practiced in a week, Parent Signature, and a space for Grade.
