Ancient sumerian number systems - writing activity This is a clay tablet. It is only about the size of a 3 by 5 index card. It has been dated to 1800 BC and was found in what is now southern Iraq. It shows a kind of writing called cuneiform. This tablet depicts numbers belonging to Pythagorean triples. I explain that it shows a math problem and what is written are cuneiform numbers.

Google Drive folder containing two items: a powerpoint on the Renaissance, Baroque, and Rococo art movements, and a printout of artworks from each movement. Lecture the powerpoint making sure students recognize the characteristics of each movement. Then in groups have students categorize the printed out paintings into either Renaissance, Rococo, or Baroque paintings based on the characteristics they learned of each movement.
