Australia's Climate & Natural Resources
This is a graphic organizer and map coloring activity about the location, climate, and natural resources. Students will use notes/articles/information to fill out the graphic organizer. Next, they will take two pieces of information and from the different categories and fill them in to the different states/territories that are labeled with different categories. For example, New South Wales is labeled 'climate' so students will put two pieces of information about Australia's climate in that state

Are you looking for more ways to expose your students to Australia? I love showing Discovery Education videos to my students. One problem I have is making sure they stay engaged and actually learn =)
I show the video once and encourage the students to just watch it the first time (some still try to fill it in anyway). I then give my students a few minutes to fill in as many as they can remember. Finally I show the video again for the students to fill in blanks they couldn't remember.
