ThinkMarks! Note-taking Bookmarks - 3 Versions
Thinkmarks can be used for taking notes before, during, or after reading. Version 1 is for students to summarize what they've read. This comes in handy when there is a long break between reading to help students remind themselves what happened last in the text. Reading Strategy- Readers Ask Themselves Questions
This reading strategy helps students generate questions about their reading. Too often I hear the words, "I can't think of a question." This worksheet breaks down possible questions into four categories, and students can either write their questions on the worksheet, or write on Post Its and place the question in the category.

What Surprised You Reading Annotation Chart
Need a new prompt for your students to annotate while reading? This chart helps students take notes and annotate while reading. They take note of what surprised them while reading and why. This fosters deeper thinking and learning while increasing comprehension. Use by printing out the chart for handwritten notes or allow students to annotate digitally by typing in the chart.

Reading Strategy- Look for a Pattern
This graphic organizer allows students to think about how a characters actions do or do not change through the course of a text. By looking at patterns in a characters actions, students can determine various character traits based on their actions. For example, if Character A keeps interrupting Character B, then a student can determine that Character A is insensitive or bossy.
