I use this activity as a followup to my existential and nihilist powerpoints in Eng III. We watch "The Killing Joke" cartoon movie as a primer before we delve into texts. I find students are able to relate to these themes better though familiar superhero archetypes. I start the movie at about 30 min, after the Batgirl intro (it serves no purpose).
