Describe apples using the five senses! Fill in adjectives for the properties of apples with this graphic organizer web. This can be a whole class activity for younger grades, or done individually or in partners. When I did this activity in a first grade classroom, we started with "apples look like" and I walked around with an apple for all to see. Next for "apples feel like" we passed it around so everyone got to touch the apple. I then cut up the apple into pieces and gave each student a piece t

Since firsties normally have the same book for multiple days...I use the same form everyday but just use different colored ink each day. I hope this recording sheet is as helpful to you as it has been for me! :)

It took me a while to get students to write. I have tried many programs and all of them have had some success, but did not build the type of writers I was looking
