I use these questions to keep students on task when we watch Back to the Future at the end of the school year with my 8th grade US History (Civil War to Present) class. I chose this movie because it shows a realistic version of the 1980s, a nostalgic version of the 1950s, and occasionally a more realistic version of the 1950s. It also keeps student interest due to the sci-fi elements, and is rated PG.
