One page activity to make beautiful, colorful paper candles for your ofrenda (altar) for Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead). All you need is something to color with, scissors and a glue stick. This activity allows your students to draw whatever they would like to decorate their candle, but look for my bundle if you would like some that have ready to color Dia de los Muertos images!

I teach this as a printmaking unit lasting approximately four classes where intermediate students paint an expressive watercolor background, plan and draw a unique Calavera, trace their sketch onto scratch foam, and print it onto the watercolor background.
