Sentence Builder for Early Learners
'Sentence Builder for Early Learners' is designed to be used in 'dual page display' on an IWB and is suited to small groups of 1-5 students, however enough lines are added for a whole class. Pippi Longstocking Book Study
A smart board activity to go along with the novel Pippi Longstocking. I printed copies off for my students and we did some of the pages together, and some they completed independently as an assessment.
This was a huge help in our book study, and a GIGANTIC hit! The first graders loved Pippi and her adventures, I hope you do too!

Apples- Make a chart,a book and more!
This is the season(fall) for apple picking. Students love to eat apples but what kind? Here is a lesson which combines writing, charting and cooking an apple recipe. The students will write their name on the Smart Board, work on a worksheet to write about their favorite apple and a chart to work out to see which apple is the favorite in the class.Students will also be able to make their own apple book. Finally the students can all work to together to make a delicious apple recipe!

Adding Ending Punctuation
A sentence must end with punctuation. Not every sentence ends with a period. Using punctuations makes writing easier to read. With this activity, students will be focusing on understanding when to use a period, a question mark, and an exclamation point. Included is a slide to introduce the lesson’s objective. The what?
