Primary Source Analysis. Students will analyze letters archived from the Civil War. Within the lesson, students will work to identify common themes within primary sources. Students will each receive a modified Civil War letter addressed to them which fosters engagement in the content. To assess learning, students will craft their own letter that exhibits understanding and mastery of common themes.Don't forget to come back and review the activity once you've used it!
