Time: digital and written form flashcards (hour and half-hour times)

I created these flashcards to support assessment during a pass-the-parcel style game using a clock cushion. The cards were placed face down in the middle of the circle, the children passed the clock around...when it was their turn they chose a card from the middle and were required to demonstrate the given time in analogue form on the clock. The children I worked with LOVED this approach!

This is a worksheet that can be treated as a BCR to see if students can explain how to find the area of a rectangle in two different ways- both by tiling and by using the formula (length times width). I used this to assess which students had a solid understanding of what area was and how to calculate the area of a rectangle.

This worksheet contains all multiplication facts from 2-9. I left off the 1s and 10s.I use this to help students focus on the problems they need to remember. If a students quickly knows the answer they write it down. If they have to think about the answer they circle the problem. After they have seen all the problems, they go back and try to solve any that they have circled. This gives them 3 levels of problem; I know it, I kind of know it, and I have to learn it. I give 3-5 seconds per pr
