The goal of this unit is to identify complaints described in the Declaration of Independence, such as stationing soldiers in people’s homes, taxes, and cutting off trade with other countries. This allows the students to think about the complaints in chunks and gives the teacher feedback through the student assignment from each piece. This can be used for middle or high school. The final project can be modified.
