Solving Linear Systems of Equations and Inequalities Station Activity
There are 10 stations for students go to during a class period. I would suggest 7 to 8 minutes be allotted for each station. The stations each include at least one word problem. Questions at the stations include solving linear equations by graphing, elimination, and substitution, determining which method is best for solving a given system, finding errors when solving a system, and graphing systems of linear inequalities.

This is a notes page I used to work through an example and non-example situation that can be represented in a table and a graph. The students had to decide whether or not it was a proportional relationship based on the table and the graph. The students seemed to enjoy it and found it very helpful in their understanding! Slope Intercept Form - Word Problems - Scaffolded Guided Notes (3 days)
These guided notes allow students the opportunity to work on their "slope" and "y-intercept" vocabulary. Students will begin with word problems given just slope and y-intercept, then slope and one point, then two points, then mix up the given information.

Skittles Proportion Activity
Students are to be provided a bag of skittles. They are going to use proportions and ratios to determine if there are the same number/ratio of each color in all different sized bags.
I had students work in groups of 2 for this activity. Within the activity I broke it up into three different sections; a pre-lab, lab, and post-lab portion. Students make initial guesses/hypothesis, test out their theory, use proportions and ratios to analyze their results and graph data.
